PolyOne Blends Leadership and Giving

As one of the 2001 pacesetters, PolyOne (formerly M.A. Hanna) of Burton continued its strong tradition of support for Geauga United Way in its recently completed fundraising campaign.
Through a combination of creative auctions and raffles where the prizes ranged from gift certificates to weekend getaways, PolyOne and its employees raised 30% more than was generated in last year's campaign. The outstanding success of the campaign was attributable to the leadership efforts of management as well as the recognition by PolyOne employees of the important functions and services that United Way makes available on a daily basis to those in need. Todd Piros, the Employee Campaign Manager, stated it best when asked to explain the remarkable results of this year's campaign. "The increased employee participation was a direct result of motivation provided by our main office. Management provided the encouragement and my fellow employees responded."
